Two bedrooms above the marina

Sveti Vlas is the quiet end of the bay — ten minutes up the coast from Sunny Beach, and a different proposition entirely. It has a marina, a long promenade, restaurants that stay open past September, and none of the strip.

The apartment is on the fourth floor of a 2019 building set back on the hillside, which is what gives it the view: the masts, the bay, and Nesebar on its peninsula in the distance. Two bedrooms, both doubles, a living room opening onto an 18 m² terrace, and air conditioning throughout.

The complex has a pool, a lift, underground parking and a management company that has run it since handover. The maintenance fee is €780 a year, which is high for the coast and buys a complex that still looks like its own brochure.

Worth knowing: the hill is steep. It is a five-minute walk down to the promenade and a fifteen-minute climb back.
